Meeting about Internet/Intranet

The second and third of june we had the honour to welcome in Cortaillod, in the canton of Neuchâtel, 20 guests that represented the commercial registers of 12 swiss cantons: ZH, BE, NW, GL, BS, BL, SH, SG, GR, AG, TG and TI.

The morning was dedicated to a discussion about the new opportunities of Internet and Intranet at the commercial registers.

We have tried to compare and to bring together the meanings of the participants about the supply of commercial register databases on Internet, the search possibilities, the presentation of these data and the definition of taxes to perceive on these electronic data.

The participants were enthousiat to ascertain that our web server is able of the same powerfull searches that the RC-Win programm they use every day.

• normal search into the company names with a search key of minimum three characters
• phonetic search into the company names
• search into miscellaneous fields of the extract
  (address, goal, shares, people with signature rights, etc.)

All cantons, excepted SG, want to participate and supply their data onto Internet. The cantons of BL, GR and TI want to begin a test as soon as possible and without taxes.

The canton of SG cannot participate with the test because M. Meisterhans, a pioneer of Internet news about the commercial registers, has several problems to solve with his informatic department before he can publish his database on Internet.

The other cantons will participate to this web server as soon as a possibility exists to get taxes (to sell the data). That means in a few weeks.

The next day we have discussed about the RC-Win application. We have defined what whishes of the participants have to be put into the application.
